Who Should Attend?

The WORCS Fall Protection for Authorized Person is designed for the fall protection user, at risk worker, supervisors, managers and safety professionals.

Learning Outcomes

At the completion of this course, the participants will be able to discuss and demonstrate the following topics:

  • OSHA Rules and Consensus standards
  • Proper selection, pre-use inspection, and care of fall protection equipment
  • Proper donning and doffing of harness
  • Dynamics of a fall
  • Fall hazard recognition and assessment
  • Understanding impact forces
  • Hierarchy of controls
  • Procedures for continuous safety at heights
  • Selection, application, and use of fall protection system
  • Calculating fall clearances

Course Format

Training is instructor-led multimedia presentation incorporating instructor demonstration, student manual, and learner practical hands-on approach.  Training will run approximately 4 hours. Learners will be given written exam and will receive a certificate of completion with training contact hours, signed and dated by the WORCS instructor upon successful completion of the scheduled training.
